LAMAID®

LAMAID® is a high-quality colostrum supplement providing natural maternal colostrum to newborn lambs.

There are lots of colostrum products available, which can make choosing one that is right for you difficult.

As well as ensuring they receive adequate levels of good quality colostrum, there are other important considerations when managing newborn lambs. Hygiene is key, making sure lambing pens are thoroughly cleaned and wearing appropriate protective clothing for ewes requiring birthing assistance. It is also vital to protect against hypothermia and reduce risk of lambs picking up disease in their early life.

Mix 25g LAMAID®, in 120ml (4 fluid oz) of warm water to make 150ml of liquid feed.

Give 150ml of LAMAID® to the lamb as soon as possible after birth. A teated feeding bottle or stomach tube should be used to avoid the feed getting into the lungs. After mixing, LAMAID® may be stored in a thermos flask for 24 hours, or cold for up to 3 days.
