What are Nutraceuticals?
Nutraceuticals, more commonly known as supplements, are a non-drug substance, which is produced in a purified or extracted form and administered orally to a patient, to provide agents required for normal body structure and function and given with the intent of improving the health and well-being of animals.

Family At Our Heart
VetPlus is a family owned business founded in 1995 by David Haythornthwaite in Lytham, Lancashire
At VetPlus, we believe animals deserve the best possible products to help them enjoy life to the maximum. This is why we work tirelessly to develop high quality nutraceutical products, made from the best possible ingredients, in our state-of-the-art UK facility.
“From the very beginning, our focus has been on developing the best possible products for pets. While many global companies are driven by the need to satisfy their shareholders and army of accountants, we are a family owned business and as such are not subjected to such pressures. This allows us to concentrate all our efforts on making a product that is right for your pet.”

Science-backed, pet-loved.
Having our own in-house Research & Development facility allows us to have complete control of the development and manufacturing process from start of finish, but also react quickly to the changing needs of vets and their patients.
Over 90% of our products are produced in-house at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lytham, Lancashire and our products pass through at least 16 different quality checks before they are released to our customers.
From the introduction of our very first product SYNOQUIN®, the UK’s leading chondroprotective, to the most recent addition, SUSTAIN®, we have continually strived to develop products that can in many cases improve, but primarily complement existing therapies.
Significant investment in this area has and will continue to be at the forefront of the VetPlus business model, as we strive to find better solutions to the problems facing pet owners worldwide.
