Golden Oldies – Recognising and Supporting Patients with Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS)
With a growing population of senior pet’s, it is crucial that veterinary practice teams can identify, and effectively manage, these patients in practice. Unfortunately, clients often struggle to spot the signs of cognitive dysfunction syndrome and may be fearful to discuss any concerns with the veterinary team, due to a limited awareness of available management options. Having the confidence and knowledge to deal with these cases in practice, and provide the right support to clients, is therefore crucial, to improve the quality of life of senior pets.
Webinar Aims:
- To review CDS as a disease process
- To raise awareness of CDS within vet teams and to clients
- To help identify and recognise signs of CDS in elderly cats and dogs
- To enhance your confidence in offering suitable advice
- To provide you with a range of strategies to improve the quality of life (QoL) for senior pets
- To enhance animal welfare
- To improve the human animal bond
- To further the vet-client relationship
